When Cardinals Appear – Loved Ones are Near
For me, this Thanksgiving, Joy overcame Sorrow. Thanks to vaccine boosters and rapid testing, I was able to meet my sister’s granddaughter for the first time. With Covid, it was a chance my sister never had.
On Thanksgiving morning, after the Turkey was in the oven – We took a walk around the reservoir in a neighboring town with the baby in her stroller. We fed the ducks and watched the swans. As we drove back home we passed a cardinal along the side of the road, and I knew my sister was some how with us, too.
