Scrubby Yarn has been around for a while. Lots of Fun Colors and Patterns. Clever Crafters have been making pot scrubbers from Tulle which involves creating your own yarn, from cut strips – You have to try one to appreciate how well they work at scrubbing without scratching -Much easier than stainless steel wool and machine washable -and fast drying.
It’s a perfect portable project – they whip up easily and quickly – either knit or crochet -and can be used for exfoliating too. Just a drop of soap makes a lot of lather with these.

Lion Brand caught on and now makes a nylon scrub yarn. I mostly use Red Hearts Sparkly Scrubby Yarn- but when my Stitch Soak Scrub yarn arrived, I decided to put them together – and the result is super scrubby:)

The yarn manufacturers sites have free patterns. So do Ravelry and Pinterest.
If you don’t want to be bothered with any of this – you can also make scrubbies from the nylon bags that citrus fruits and avocado come in. Click on the link below for directions
