DIY Mustard – 2 minute project

Making Mustard is an easy holiday/hostess gift.

Colman’s Mustard Powder

Start with The Queen’s Mustard

Queen Victoria granted a Royal Warrant declaring Colman’s English Mustard “The Queen’s Mustard,” in 1866. What makes it worthy of royalty?  The rare blend of white and brown mustard seeds that is unlike any other mustard.  This one of a kind combo creates a tangy-yet-hot flavor.

Here’s what you need to whip up a batch

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. flour
  • 1 tbsp. cold water
  • 1 tbsp. Colman’s Dry Mustard Powder
  • ½ tsp. brown or white sugar
  • ¼ tsp. white vinegar

Directions

Whisk together. Use on everything. Ta Da !

For variety add honey, hot honey, maple syrup, horse radish. Everything is to your personal taste… there is no right or wrong.
